3PM Partners specializes in philanthropic portfolio performance management. In this new role, Susan consults in three key areas. In the corporate sector, consultation for the development of philanthropic and community engagement strategies; in the not-for-profit sector, strategic planning with a particular area of interest being health care and learning and social challenges; and in the wealth management space, working with high net worth individuals and family foundations to set strategic direction and demystify the gifting process.


In her recent role as executive director, national community affairs, TELUS, Susan was responsible for the strategic direction, development and execution of enterprise-wide philanthropic and community involvement initiatives. In this portfolio, Susan oversaw national community investment, the TELUS community boards, and strategic projects related to not-for-profit governance and TELUS involvement thereof. National programmes developed under Susan’s leadership include the TELUS community boards, TELUS Day of Service, team TELUS cares, and the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes.

Susan joined TELUS in 2005 following 15 years in capital markets, most recently as executive director of debt capital markets in Asia for CIBC World Markets. She brings a wealth of experience in investment management, product development and portfolio strategy in order to drive return on investment for community partnerships and corporate stakeholders.


Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics from Queen’s University at Kingston and a Master of Science in Banking and Financial Services Management from Boston University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Residing in Vancouver, Susan is a board director of HEROS (Hockey Education Reaching Out Society) and formerly served on the executive committee of the BC Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend.  She is a member the Vancouver Society of Financial Analysts, the Association for Women in Finance and is a mentor with the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs.  Susan is an avid traveler and enjoys golf, skiing and watching ice hockey.
